Lesson 8-1b Applications of Exponential models\

Real life connections:
* population growth

Key Terms:
* B=Growth factor
* R=Rate of increase

Step 1 find decay fator Y=ab^x

Example 1:
Y=20,000(0.85)^x
Y=20,000(0.85)^6
R=17,000-20,000/20,000
R=-3,000/20,000
R=-0.15
B=0.85

Example 2:
B=1.0124
Y=a(1.0124)^x
Y=281(1.0124)x
Y=281(1.0124)^10=317.85 mill
Y=281(1.0124)^15=338.06 mill

And thats the summary of
lesson 8-1b

Whitley Owens is also the "Scribe for lesson 8.1 B. Whitley, I know that you have saved your summary. Please try to post it this weekend. If not, come in early on Monday, Jan. 29, and do it on a computer at school. Have a good weekeend:)
