Our Chapter 8 test is tomorrow. I will be online from 8 until 10 to answer your questions. You may also earn an Euler Buck by helping each other online tonight. Mrs. S
IT'S KINDA LATE, BUT I CAME TO VISIT ANYWAY. I AM REALLY UNDERSTANDING THIS CHAPTER, BUT I COULD USE A LITTLE MORE HELP WITH SOLVING EXPONTENTIAL AND LOG EQUATIONS.
*sequence- an ordered pair of numbers *Each number in a sequence is called a term *Look for a pattern of formula that helps us find more terms in a sequence *Fibbonacci sequence you add the 2 numbers previous to the next number that you are looking for Formula- a sub n= a sub n-2 + a sub n-1 *Factal- self-repeating sequence *Each term is represented by a sub n *Recursive formula- defines the terms in a sequence by relating each term to the ones before it, have to know the proceeding term *Explicit formula-can find the value the value of a term of a sequence without knowing the proceeding term
Examples: 1. 1,4,7,10... found by a sub n=a sub n-1+3 2. .5,1,2,4...a sub n=a sub n-1 time 2 3.Fibbonacci- 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21...
p.591 #26 (n-5)(n+5)=a sub n (1-5)(1+5)=a sub n (-4)(6)=-24
I teach AP Calculus, Pre AP Precalculus, and Advanced Algebra/Trigonometry at Muscle Shoals High School. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and granddaughters. My husband and I like to travel and visited Germany and France last summer. I also enjoy reading, art and music.
Last spring, I read The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. I am currently reading the Constant Princess (by the same author).
I love "anything about England".
"SUGGESTED READING LIST" The Mathematical Traveler. It is a great book that combines history and interesting facts about famous mathematicians. See me if you want to "check it out".

I am available for online tutoring.

I am here if anyone needs help!!! I really understand this chapter! yay!! but Only during commercial breaks of Grey's Anatamy..of course!!! =)
Well.. i got on kind of late, but it does not look like anyone needs help.=)Good luck everyone!
Lauren=)
Doesn't look like anyone needs any help. Good Luck on the test tomorrow!
